32 Jubilee MPs that met Ruto at State House to face disciplinary action – Jeremiah Kioni

The Jubilee party will subject 32 elected leaders that attended a meeting with President William Ruto at State House Nairobi on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, to a disciplinary process.
Jubilee party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni says the disciplinary action against the leaders has already been initiated.
Responding to reports of the Jubilee MPs meeting Ruto, Kioni affirmed that he was against it.
He also accused those that attended the meeting of rejecting his opinion on the said meeting.
“I am not in support of the Jubilee State House meeting. They refused to get my opinion on the matter. Disciplinary measures have commenced against the members as we speak,” Kioni said.
The latest meeting of the Jubilee MPs with the Head of State further exposes the Azimio coalition to more cracks.
Jubilee party is among the pillars of the Azimio One Kenya Coalition – alongside the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Wiper Party.
Some of the members of the former ruling party that were at the State House include nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege, Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan, Nakuru Town West’s Samuel Arama, Irene Njoki of Bahati and nominated Senator Prof. Margaret.
During the meeting, it is believed the members present agreed to cut tied with the Azimio coalition in favour of the ruling Kenya Kwanza.
It comes just a day after the same State House hosted a section of elected leaders from the Nyanza region.
While Ruto said it was “a consultative meeting with MPs from Nyanza following a recent visit to the region’, a section of politicians allied to the Azimio coalition has termed it an attempt to divide the opposition.
The ODM party has since said it did not allow its members to be part of the meeting.
Politicians allied to the opposition have also hit out at the MPs that attended the meeting – calling them all manner of names – including branding them self-centred.
“The lot comprises of greenhorn, disgruntled, some rich ass and broke ass niggers who will sell their souls for survival! Don’t blame them they will slowly learn!” said Narok Senator Ledama Olekina in a tweet on February 8, 2023.
