7 ODM rebel MPs dismiss Monday’s mass action

Seven Members of Parliament from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) have announced that they will not participate in Mondays mass action planned by the Azimio-One Kenya coalition.

 

Adressing a press briefing at parliament buildings, the Azimio lawmakers , who include Gideon Ochanda (Bondo), Mark Nyamita (Uriri), Caroline Omondi (Suba North), Paul Abuor (Rongo),Elisha Odhiambo (Rongo), Felix Oduor Jalang’o (Lang’ata) and Kisumu senator Prof. Tom Ojienda sidelined themselves from the demonstrations urging their supporters to as well boycott the demonstrations.

 

”We want to categorically state that we will not be participating in the planned demonstrations. We equally urge our constituents to do so likewise. We encourage those who will join the demonstrations to return to their normal economic and social activities as soon as possible ,” Mr Omondi said.

 

The law makers however urged those who will be planning to take part in the demonstrations to do so in a peaceful and oderly manner .

 

Azimio is set to hold its mass action march to state House on Monday 20th with Raila Odinga urging his supporters to join the demonstrations.
