In another 3 months, people will like what they see, Gachagua on his dressing code

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has finally opened up about his style of dressing.
Gachagua has been among the most-talked about politicians in regards to how he has been dressing all through the 2022 general election campaign trail.
His style of dressing was subject to criticism and ridicule by a section of Kenyans on social media.
But in an interview before his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the immediate former Mathira Member of Parliament said in the just concluded campaigns, he had no time to think about his dress, as he was in danger.
“I know many people have been raising questions about the way I dress. I had no luxury of time to think about dressing. I was in danger,” Gachagua said.
“We did not have time to buy new clothes. We were targeted to go to prison…the first instinct of human beings is safety,” he added.
Gachagua was among the key politicians that helped secure Dr William Ruto’s win in the August 9 poll.
He played a key role in mobilizing the Mount Kenya region to back the Kenya Kwanza side, especially with the outgoing President backing his competitor Raila Odinga.
And with the win now secured, Gachagua says he will work on being back to his best in terms of fitness and dressing code.
“Going forward, I will be back in the gym…but now that all is over, we will work out well and in another three months, people will like what they see,” noted the Deputy President.
He however admitted he was aware of Kenyans criticizing his dressing code, an issue he is now working on addressing it.
“When I see social media people talk about dressing, that could not have been a priority but now that I am alive, I can now work on it,” he assured.
