EPRA announces new fuel prices

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced new fuel prices.
In the new review, the price of super petrol has gone up by Sh2 while the prices of kerosene and diesel will remain unchanged for one more month.
That means a litre of diesel and kerosene will retail at Sh162 and Sh145.94 respectively.
On the flipside, the price of a litre of super petrol goes up to Sh179.20, from Sh177.20 last month.
EPRA in a statement said the cost of diesel was cross subsidized with that of super petrol to cushion Kenyans from otherwise ‘high prices.’
āThe price of diesel has been cross-subsidized with that of Super Petrol while a subsidy of Ksh. 23.49 /litre has been maintained for Kerosene in order to cushion consumers from the otherwise high prices.”
The new prices are likely to slightly impact on the cost of living in the country.
Implementation of new fuel prices runs from today, March 15, 2023 to April 14, 2023 when the next review will be done.
