In a video, the comedian was cuffed in the middle of two administration police officers while carrying a packet of maize floor in his hands.

Eric was seen to be in an altercation with the officers as they struggled to pack him inside a private police car while residents were seen watching and calling out his name.

This comes just a  week after the Comedian had been arrested on February 21 while holding demonstrations with a group of shirtless youths along the parliament buildings demanding a sitting with speaker Moses Wetangula to address the high cost of living in the country

The comedian had earlier stated that on Tuesday, March 7, He would lead a march from Uhuru park to State House Nairobi to present CVs, Rent arrears, school fees arrears, shopping lists for basic necessities, and electricity bills and would share a packet of unga to everyone who will join his march.

So this is the plan. Next week Tuesday 7th March we will march to State House from Uhuru Park to protest our CVs, Rent arrears, School Fee Arrears, Basic Goods Shopping Lists, and Electricity Bills. This Wednesday we meet at City Stadium from 11 am to 2 pm as we share a packet of unga with everyone that intends to join us at State House….,” Erick had announced.

Erick has been vocal about the economic hardships in the country and the high cost of living which has subjected Kenyans to hunger.

On his arrest, Omondi stated that he was attempting to support his fans who have been unable to afford basic commodities such as flour, sugar, and cooking oil.

Wakenya wenzetu hawana unga.Ni unga tu nilikuwa napeana,” the comedian said before being hurdled away.

The comedian was driven to the Industrial police station where he is currently being held awaiting his lawyers.
