A family in Imaroro, Mashuuru Sub County in Kajiado county is appealing to well-wishers to help them in offsetting the medical bill of their deceased mother which has accrued to over sh7 million.

Speaking at their home, Moses Aiganya, the deceased’s son, said that their mother had been battling Tuberculosis for a while and was in and out of hospital.

Aiganya says that his mother had been admitted for a month and a half in hospital before being put in the Intensive Care Unit for 40 days at the Karen hospital and eventually passed on on February 28.

“Given the biting drought, we do not have any means to offset the bill. All our livestock which we depended on were decimated by the ravaging drought and the body has been lying at the hospital’s mortuary for close to a month now. Help us bring our mother’s remains home,” appealed Aiganya

He noted that they have done all they could to try and raise the amount but only managed to get Sh 400,000 which is far below the amount they owe the hospital.

Aiganya notes that they have organised a fundraiser on March 18, 2023 and is appealing to all well wishers to help them raise the required amount.

“A somber mood has engulfed our home. We feel terrible being here while mom’s body is laying at the morgue. Kindly help us settle the bill so that she can rest in peace,” appealed Aiganya.
