Hansi Flick set to be announced as Barcelona manager after shocking Xavi exit

Barcelona are set to announce Former Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick as their new manager after Xavi Hernandez was sacked with immediate effect.

Xavi was sacked Just two weeks after the mutual decision to continue with the club had been reached.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has informed Xavi in the recent hours after face to face meeting this morning.

Xavi had earlier on the season announced his plans to depart from the club amidst internal conflicts with the club board.

He leaves Barça with one La Liga title, one Super Cup while in charge for two seasons where he also promoted 15 La Masia players into the senior squad including teenage sensation Lamine Yamal.

Additionally, Xavi boasts 89 wins in 141 games in club management which sums to a 62.7%win rate.

The former Barcelona midfielder has lost on 29 occasions while drawing 23 games.

Meanwhile, Reports indicate that Contracts to recruit Hansi Flick have already been completed now approved by his agent Pini Zahavi on a two year deal.

Hansi Flick will bring two German assistants as part of his staff at Barcelona with signatures being sorted.

Barcelona are currently Second in the La Liga standings behind champions real Madrid while the Catalonia giants were eliminated in the Champions league by Paris Saint Germain at the Quater Finals stage.

The club has recently been hit by financial problems that has forced massive salary cuts while also impeding their energy in the transfer market.
