How Ruto Could Snatch Victory From Raila in 2022 – Herman Manyora

Renowned Political Analyst Herman Manyora has explained how Deputy President William Ruto could fend off opposition from President Uhuru Kenyatta to become Head of State on August 9, 2022.

The veteran analyst on Friday, September 24, 2021, broke down how the ‘deep state’ has for long swayed elections in various countries in the world. While many may see their moves to be direct, Manyora stated that the so called “deep state” is a master at political long games.

He noted that whoever will have the backing of President Uhuru Kenyatta will be elected Head of State in 2022.

The University of Nairobi lecturer reiterated that President Kenyatta will have a major sway of how the elections will turn out next year, noting that he will direct the votes from Mount Kenya.

“Even in the next six months, wait and see. Even Mount Kenya, President Uhuru Kenyatta will hold sway over the mountain,” Manyora stated.

Reiterating on an earlier quote, “It is the narrative that will shape politics”, the UoN lecturer opined that DP Ruto is a smart individual and may only rise to presidency if he brings about another movement, which borrows from his hustler narrative.

“The only way Ruto can become president, is through a revolution-like movement. A movement that make people drunk, they will only be singing hustler and Ruto,” Manyora stated.

“The revolution I am talking about is not the violence we see in some of these African countries. I am talking about a strong movement that borrows from revolutions. An irresistible push by the people to own a country by the people through a leader, and that be Ruto,” he noted.

However, Manyora maintained that ODM Leader Raila Odinga will win next year’s polls, adding that principles of the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) will soon support the former premier.

He pointed out that President Kenyatta will influence major voices in the Mount Kenya region and influence them to support Odinga.

“You will be going to church and see elders talking about Raila. There will be significant movements which will lean towards Raila and by the time we get to March, 2022, 50 per cent of the Mountain will have leaned towards Raila,” Manyora stated.

The veteran analyst stated that the former premier will win next year’s polls with a few votes shy of 60 per cent.
