Kenyan Comedian Fred Omondi Dies in Tragic Accident

In a tragic turn of events, Kenyan comedian Fred Omondi, younger brother of renowned comedian Eric Omondi, has passed away following a severe accident on Friday night.

Fred was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.Fred Omondi was a popular figure in the entertainment industry, known for his work as an events emcee after his stint on Churchill Show.

In a previous interview, Fred had credited his older brother Eric for inspiring him to pursue a career in comedy.

The comedy community has been left in mourning, with fellow comedian Terence Creative expressing his sorrow.

“Today at 6 AM, I received the saddest call ever,” Terence wrote. “Fred, I thank God for the time He gave us together. You’ve been part of my career and growth in the industry. You always treated me as a brother, hosted me when I had nowhere to go, gave me a stage, and paid me. Together, we started club comedy shows.”

Terence reminisced about their shared experiences, noting that Fred hosted his first TV show with him right after Churchill Show.

“I will always treasure the moments we shared the stage together from Tribeka, Taj Mall, Hearts, I Club until we got to Churchill Show and then to hosting our first TV show together, KTN Crazy Comedy. Together, we suffered, learned, inspired, made people laugh, and created great memories,” he added.

Fred Omondi was scheduled to host an event at BVB Lounge in Meru this weekend alongside DJ Becky.
