Musician Stephen Kasolo speaks after video of him threatening his daughter goes viral

Kamba gospel musician Stephen Kasolo has found himself on the receiving end after a video of him threatening his three-year-old daughter went viral online.

The musician has since been forced to apologise following the incident.

The video shows musician Kasolo threatening to kill the daughter by strangling and the child can be seen crying and appearing scared.

The video which was shared by his wife has since sparked a series of reactions from netizens. Kenyans on Twitter have condemned the video citing signs of poor parenting and even transfer of toxic behaviour to children.

“This is how people brought up in toxic environments pass down their trauma to innocent children. What kind of parent traumatizes their child?” One tweep posed.

The child was helplessly crying after Kasolo accused her of breaking his expensive water bottle.

Kasolo may have just not known better at the moment but has since apologized to his daughter and the netizens on the same matter.

In a post, he says he never meant any harm to his daughter and he would never even think of doing the same he posted the apology and later turned off the comment section.

“Praise God my fans? I want to take this opportunity to apologise to my baby Shine Kasolo and all our fans for the video which is going viral, I never meant any harm to my daughter and I never will, nevertheless it has brought a lot of tension on social media.

“Kindly forgive me this will never happen again am sorry,” Kasolo apologised.
