Never shall we allow you to the sitting room, Didmus Barasa tells Azimio politicians joining Kenya Kwanza

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has fired a warning shot at political leaders scrambling to align themselves with the Kenya Kwanza Coalition.
Baraza in a tweet said as much as they welcome the politicians from other sides, they will not be given total access to everything.
Speaking in symbolism, the vocal legislator said the ‘newcomers’ will be served lunch and dinner from the visitors’ house and not the sitting room.
“We in Kenya kwanza welcome all visitors to visit us. We will serve you lunch and Dinner from the visitors house near the main gate, never shall We allow you to the sitting room,” the MP who is a close ally of President-elect Dr William Ruto said.
To make his point clear, the vocal legislator noted that the cautious treatment of the visitors coming to Kenya Kwanza has informed with the past experience.
This is in relation to what he said they faced when the Jubilee party welcomed former Prime Minister Raila Odinga only for him to take control.
The MP said they have now learnt their lesson.
“We welcomed @RailaOdinga in the sitting room in good faith but while we went to the garden to check on our goats, he sneaked and locked himself in our bedroom and after a while our mother was pregnant of him,” the Kimilili MP said.
“…we learnt a lesson so please visitors bear with us…kaeni hapo kwa gate we shall all be meeting in the play ground,” he added.
The Jubilee party welcomed Odinga through the March 2018 handshake, but it ended up being the start of the end for the then blossoming relationship between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Ruto.
Following Kenya Kwanza’s win in the August 9 poll, some politicians allied to Azimio have been shifting allegiance to the President-elect.
While the move by the politicians has been criticized by those within Azimio, Ruto recently said those joining them were doing so because they had been forced to be on the other side.
Some of the high-profile Azimio politicians that have joined Kenya Kwanza include former Governors Kiraitu Murungi (Meru), Kivuta Kibwana (Makueni) and James Ongwae (Kisii).
