Nyeri leaders have welcomed the nomination of Dan Wamahiu as the Agriculture Chief Administrative Secretary by President William Ruto.

The grassroot leaders led by nominated MCA Kariithi Wambui said Wamahiu was fit for the job.

During a press conference held at Nyeri town Friday, the leaders termed Wamahiu as a workaholic, courageous and team player devoted to his work.

They added that the new CAS is capable of working hand in hand with the Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi in order to get solutions for the challenges facing tea, coffee, and milk among other sectors in the country.

Kariithi who was accompanied by former Nominated MCA Julia Wanjiku, grassroot leaders Simo Wa Nyeri, John Ndung’u among others also congratulated other appointees saying the team will address the challenges facing Kenyans competently.

The leaders also defended the bloated cabinet of 50 CAS’s saying the challenges in the country needs a big team to work together.

 “There is a lot to be done in this country and so they need a bigger workforce. We shall continue supporting the agenda of the Hustler Government until Kenyans get money in their pockets,” said Kariithi in Nyeri town.

The leaders urged Kenyans to ignore the demonstrations by Azimio supporters scheduled on Monday saying they must give the government time to deliver their manifesto as promised.
