Narok town residents are being encouraged to report suspicious individuals to the police to prevent potential security issues in the bustling area.

This is after a body of a middle aged person that had a deep cut on the neck was found dumped at Kandas ground this morning.

Thus, today’s incident brings to a total of three people, who have been found killed in unclear circumstances in a period of two weeks in the same locality.

The Narok Central Sub County Police Commander John Momanyi confirmed the incidents saying police have opened investigations to arrest those involved in the criminal activities.

However, Police have intensified investigations following three incidents, but no arrests have been made, according to Momanyi, who stated that the goal is to prevent further criminal activities in the town.

“I call upon residents to collaborate with the police and report any suspicious person or incident early enough so that we can arrest the culprits. We are sure we will contain the situation,” he said.

The police boss urged residents to maintain personal security by avoiding dark places during the wee hours of the night.

“Every incident has its motive; we have not established the motives behind the killings. However, we are positive that this will be revealed in the investigations,” he added.

Ramadhan Shaban, a youth leader in Narok town, has urged the police to enhance security due to the concerning increase in killings.

“The current trend is very much worrying. We have lost three people since last week. We call upon the police to help in arresting the culprits,” he said.

Shaban called on the business people to put up CCTV cameras in their premises so as to help trace those involved in criminal activities.
