Sanaipei Tande reveals why she left lead role on KINA TV series

Sanaipei Tande has for the last few days been a talk on various social media pages – the reason? She had quit a lead role on popular TV Series that is currently airing on Showmax – KINA.

The prominent actress and musician has been playing a lead role in the series where she was Nana Tandala.

But with reports of her exit, there have been speculations on why she left – with Kenyans coming up with all manner of explanations.

The speculations are now over with Sanaipei Tande finally coming out to explain why she quit the role.

In a series of tweets on her official Twitter handle, the actress said she opted out of the KINA lead role due to ‘exhaustion’.

She noted that she needed rest – hence her surprising decision to quit the popular TV series.

“Goodmorning my lovelies Wow! Where to begin….Well, many of you are aware that I am no longer playing the role of Nana Tandala in the ongoing series KINA.”

”There has been a lot of speculation as to why this is, with an array of reasons being thrown around,” Sanaipei said in one of the tweets posted on February 20, 2023.

“For clarification and accuracy, I chose to leave due to exhaustion and consequently much needed rest. Because of the nature of the show, it was necessary to find a replacement to allow for your continued entertainment,” she added.

But even as she confirmed her exit from KINA, Sanaipei has thanked all her fans and crew for the love they have kept showing her as she played the Nana Tandala role.

The actress and singer has been a character on KINA for the last four seasons.

Her reign has however officially come to an end with Mbeki Mwalimu already picked as her replacement to play the lead role.

“All the best to my successor @Mbekimwalimu as she tackles the ups and downs of the wife, mother, boss, brute & of ofcourse Auntie that is NANA MANDI TANDALA,” Sainaipei Tande said in another tweet.

KINA is a Kenyan TV series that airs on Showmax. Other main characters on the show include Jimmi Gathu who plays Fred Tandala (Nana’s husband), Bruce Makau (Jabali – Nana’s nephew and right-hand man) and Arabron Nyyneque who appears as Daudi Mwakazi.
