A woman has given birth to five children in Nakuru County, in what is considered an unusual occurrence.

The 25-year-old woman gave birth at the Nakuru level 5 hospital on Tuesday night.

Interestingly, it is the woman’s first childbirth.

Nakuru level 5 hospital medical superintendent Aisha Maina says she brought forth four girls and one boy through an operation.

She said the babies have been accommodated at the facility’s newborn unit as the mother continues to recuperate at the hospital.

In 2019, a woman gave birth to five children in Kakamega. Two of them died days after birth and the woman died a few months later.
