The projects are being sponsored by World Bank in collaboration with the county government under Financing Locally-Led Climate Action (FLLOCA) Program which has endeavors to deliver locally-led climate resilience actions and strengthen county and national government’s capacity to manage climate change risks.

For the past one week, the County Climate Change Unit (CCCU) has been screening the identified projects in a bid to ascertain the social and environmental impacts they will cause, once implemented.

CCCU lead person Godfrey Wekesa revealed that full implementation of the projects will soon start, as funds for the projects has been availed.

Project Management Committees (PCM) to help in the implementation exercise have already been selected by the communities.

Besides giving a helping hand in the implementation exercise, the PCMs will also serve to represent communal interests.
