A young girl who wowed Kenyans with her poem during the Akurinu Thanksgiving service in Nakuru County has landed a life-changing opportunity.

The girl, Princess Angel, became an internet sensation following her brave poem presentation before President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

Days after the memorable presentation, the girl from Nakuru County was on Tuesday invited to the official residency of the DP with her parents.

The DP in a post on his verified X handle said he hosted the girl and her parent for a break as an appreciation for her talent.

“Princess Angel is a talented, bold and sharp young girl who wowed President William Samoei Ruto and I, with her profuse, profound prowess in poetry, mastery of English and Swahili, and sweet soothing refined rendition skills during the Akurinu National Prayers Conference at Nakuru High School, Nakuru County on Sunday,” the second in command said.

“I was delighted this morning, with my Spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, hosting the pretty Princess and her mother Ann Kariuki for breakfast at the Official Residence in Karen, Nairobi,” he added.

DP Gachagua further pointed out that his office had identified the young girl’s talent which they are ready to nurture.

It is at this point that he announced that he would sponsor the girl’s education to the highest level possible.

The girl has already secured admission to Utawala Academy in Nairobi as the journey to nurture her talents kicks off.

According to the DP, the 11-year-old has a dream of becoming a lawyer in future – and he has committed to ensuring that becomes a reality.

“We have secured an admission at Utawala Academy, Nairobi, for the 11-year-old Princess to continue shaping and sharpening her skills. I will take care of her education needs until she becomes the heavyweight Lawyer she desires to be,” Gachagua said.
