In a bid to combat malaria and enhance public health, the Governor of Mombasa County, Hon Abdulswamad Nassir initiated the mass distribution of mosquito nets held on March 21, 2024.
The event saw the flagging off of lorries carrying nets, with key dignitaries including the CEO of Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), Health Chief Officer, and other county officials in attendance.The operation commenced in Kisauni with distributions in Mvita and Changamwe set to kick off on Friday.
Meanwhile, Jomvu is scheduled to commence distribution on Saturday, March 23, 2024 while Nyali’s distribution is planned for Monday, March 24.
Likoni’s distribution is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2024.
KEMSA is overseeing the distribution process from drop-off to post, and cooperation is requested at receiving posts to expedite the process.
