Rapper cum actor Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka has ‘broken his silence’ over speculations of breakup with his wife, Nana Owiti.
The two have been blessed with two children. Over the past few days, the romour mill has had it that Nana forged King Kaka’s ‘death certificate,’ before flying out with their kids to the United States of America.
Contrary to social media reports, King Kaka said his wife is not abroad, and that the children are in school.
“Nana is in the country, the kids are in school. Mi nashangaa hizo story zinatoka wapi (I wonder where those stories are coming from). Let’s be mindful. There are so many people involved when we create these fake stories. Let’s create content but tusiharibu kitu nzuri (let us not destroy a good thing,” he said in a video widely shared online.
He pointed an accusing finger at content creators for misleading members of the public.
“I don’t clout chase, sanasana (mostly) when it comes to family. Neither does Nana. I was not even going to address this but the fact that it’s touching family, I have to. I know people get excited when it comes to content creation and we want to say things na tudanganye (we lie),” he said.
“Now the whole country has picked up your fake story. Ati kuna (That there’s) death certificate na watoi wameibiwa wako (children have been stolen and are in) America.”
Some observers and online users have however speculated that the timing of the occurrences, might have been a deliberate tactic to generate interest in King Kaka’s upcoming film series.
The series, ‘Monkey Business’ premiers on May 17, 2024. According to a trailer on YouTube, ‘Monkey Business’ is a compelling crime thriller that delves deep into the world of a notorious gang of thieves, whose once-solid unity unravels when a brutal murder shatters their brotherhood.
Apart from his successful music career, Kaka is also a businessman.
