Kisumu Senator Prof. Tom Ojienda has challenged the residents of Kisumu County to undertake an audit of the leaders they elected if they are delivering on their pre-election pledges and commit to send them home based on their performance come the 2027 general elections.

“This is my plea to you the people of Seme that come the 2027 polls elect leaders purely based on their performance and delivery on their pre-election pledges so the only question you should present to any leader seeking re-election is to present to you what they have delivered on during their tenure,” pointed Ojienda

Ojienda challenged the residents of Kisumu to embark on thorough evaluation of their elected leaders particularly on the delivery of their pre-election pledges this time before the campaigns begin.

“I am saying this because this is my first time coming to Seme since you elected me for, I have been to many places but not here and I am making my plans known in good time that I am the one poised to succeed Prof. Nyong’o for it will only be in order to replace a professor with a professor and I believe I am the most suited to adorn the next Kisumu governor shoes,” poised Ojienda

Ojienda spoke when he donated foodstuff and assorted commodities to the floods displaced in Seme where the residents expressed gratitude for the donations.

“My name is Judith Akoth and I am a resident of Kombewa village in Kakoth location and we thank professor for coming to our aid with foodstuff and money,” said a resident.

“My name is Lulian Akinyi and we thank the senator for coming to our rescue at this dire time when our houses have been washed away by floods,” said another resident.
