A lady has become an inspiration to many for not giving up her aspirations to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The lady had three failed applications to join the medical institution but she did not give up.

Her determination finally paid off after she secured an admission early this year.

In an inspiring story shared by KMTC on their social media pages on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Bridget Ng’ang’a said she received an SMS confirming her securing the slot with mixed reactions – joy and shock.

“About two weeks ago, I received a message from the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) that really shocked me,” Ng’ang’a said

“After three unsuccessful applications, I was finally offered a chance to join the prestigious Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to pursue a course in Diploma in Occupational Therapy,” she added.

She thought she would never secure admission to KMTC and the KUCCPS message left her disbelief, but also ignited her hope.

Sharing on reasons she never gave up despite three of her applications being rejected, the lady said “The thought of attending another institution did not sit well with me.”

“It wasn’t just a matter of reputation or prestige; it was a matter of trust,” she added.

According to Ng’ang’a, KMTC was more than just a College to her; it was where she hoped to build her future.

She joined KMTC Nairobi campus, on Tuesday.

“As I made my way through the gates of KMTC Nairobi Campus, I was a little bit nervous, tensed, and excited at the same time. There was a sense of intense gratitude for the opportunity that lay before me,’ she narrated.

The lady further said her admission to KMTC was more than just a step in her personal and professional growth.  It was the beginning of a journey that she hoped would shape her life.

She has long dreamt of becoming an Occupational Therapist, a dream that is now back on track.
