Khwisero Member of Parliament (MP) Christopher Aseka has promised to purchase land for the construction Elukaka Comprehensive School in the area.
He said the building of the school will reduce the strain of longer pupils’ treks and the challenges that come with it.
“Education stands as a unifying force and driver of socio-economic development in our communities. My commitment is to ensure sustainable growth and improve the welfare of all learners,” he said.
He said the new school will further be an economic enabler since it will come along with electricity and road infrastructure.
The MP was speaking yesterday in Khwisero Sub County and promised to work diligently to address the infrastructural needs of the learning Institutions in the area.
At the same time, the MP said the Khwisero Girls-Mulwanda-Mundeku road will be upgraded to Bitumen standards by the County government of Kakamega as well as gravelling of Mwiyembe-Elubonje-Munyanza road.
He said the projects will reflect his commitment to viable development and improving the well-being of the residents.
The ambitious plan will be under the courtesy of the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
