Siaya Governor James Orengo has told off EACC Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mohammed.Mohammed on Thursday warned Orengo that EACC was investigating him.

In a media briefing, the EACC boss accused Orengo of always taking up roles of individuals implicated in graft.

“You’re talking for Yattani as a lawyer. We’re focusing on your county. We’ll come for you soon,” he said.

Orengo is a Senior Counsel. He recently appeared in court for former Fiance Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani.

But responding to the anti-graft agency, Orengo termed the statement reckless. He issued that as the Siaya county bidd, he is unbwogable.

“The statement made by the CEO of EACC today in regard to the alleged on-going investigations touching on Siaya County, with an unfortunate sjd nuanced reference to the governor was reckless, irresponsible, unjustified and legally inexcusable,” said Victor Marende, the director Governors press.

Marende claimed the statement was empty and contained nothing new, except “outrageous hyperbole, falsehood and callous sadist.”

Orengo’s director of press further said there have been arrests in Siaya for the last six years but with no single Prosecutions.

“Complaints in regard thereto have been made many times but apropos the governor, we say being it in without delay,” he added.

The county boss has appeared as a lawyer for several leaders facing graft allegations.

He served as the Senator between 2013 and 2022 before being elected the Siaya County boss.
