President Uhuru on Wednesday, September 29, announced changes to the cabinet.
Through a gazette notice, the Head of State announced that Defence Cabinet Secretary Monica Juma will replace CS Charles Keter of Energy who has moved from the Energy Ministry to the Ministry of Devolution.
Margaret Kobia has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special programmes.
In the new changes, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has been reconstituted and renamed the Ministry of Labour.
The Ministry of Devolution and ASAL that was under CS Eugene Wamalwa has also been reconstituted and renamed as the Ministry of Devolution.
The Department of Special Programmes has also been transferred to the State Department for Social Protection, Pensions, and Senior Citizens Affairs. With the new changes, it has been renamed as State Department for Social Protection, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programmes and will be under CS Kobia.
