Police in Homa Bay are investigating the death of a 16-year – old boy who succumbed to injuries inflicted by a group of people for allegedly stealing a hand of bananas and groundnuts from a neighbor.
Reports indicate that the form two student from Rangwe’s Miranga village was hit by blows and kicks from be raged villagers
targetting his private parts leaving the boy fighting for his life.
The boy was rushed to His to various hospitals by his father including Rangwe Sub-County Hospital where he was discharged, then to Tabaka Mission Hospital where he was attended to but referred for specialized treatment at the MoinTeaching and Referral Hospital upon which he died on preparations to be admitted.
The boy’s dead body indicated severely swollen genitals and marks around his groin.
Police are still investigating to search the suspects involved as they warn members of the public to avoid taking matters into their own hands and instead report any criminal cases to relevant authorities.
