Renowned journalist Victoria Rubadiri is set to leave Royal Media Services (RMS) owned Citizen Television after six years at the station.
Sources have it that RMS staff held a special cake cutting occasion last week to bid her farewell as Rubadiri is set to host her last show this weekend.
Sources reports that Upon leaving Citizen TV, Rubadiri will be joining CNN as Africa’s correspondent.
At citizen TV, Rubadiri hosted several shows including Citizen Weekend on Saturdays where she featured special stories covering culture and societal Norms while on Sunday, she Co-hosted Sunday Live alongside Jeff Koinange.
Her ability to tell compelling stories and her integrity in journalism has earned her several awards including the 2020 BBC World News Komla Dumor Award, allowing her to attend a training course with the BBC Academy and join the News team for three months.
Rubadiri previously worked at Nation media group’s The Weekend Edition alongside CNN journalist Larry Madowo.
