Shatta Bway joins Radio 47 days after quitting Citizen Radio

Cape Media, the company that owns fast growing media entities – TV 47 and Radio 47 has landed yet another high profile personality in the industry.

The company on Friday announced the arrival of Shatta Bway.Director of Digital Media and Innovation for Radio 47 and TV 47 Willis Raburu revealed the big news on his verified social media pages.

According to Raburu, Shatta Bway will be the company’s new head of projects and strategy.He will also host a show both on radio and TV.

Raburu who is Shatta Bway’s colleague at Royal Media Services however did not go into details on which show the new signing will host.

“It’s a big day once again for our Cape Media brands and our affiliates. First Shatta Tikitaka joins us as Director of Projects and Strategy for Maybets brand and as a host for Radio 47 and TV 47 Kenya,” the former Citizen TV news and show host announced.

Bway joins Cape Media says after quitting Radio Citizen where he was a show host.

He hosted the mid-morning reggae show ‘Waks TikiTaka’.

Announcing his exit from Royal Media Services, Shatta Bway said it was due to the need to create more time for his children.

He is currently playing the father-mother following the death of his wife last year.

Shatta Bway, son to former KBC broadcaster John Maundu however said he would also focus more on his passion for films and productions.

He becomes the latest media personality that TV 47 and Radio 47 has poached in recent years.
