A 42-year-old primary school teacher who had been charged at the Bondo law courts for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old minor has been rearrested and locked up at Bondo police station for murdering the minor.

The suspect identified as George Adede was rearrested after he allegedly abducted and murdered the Key witness and complainant in his defilement case with a view to defeat justice.

The minor had mysteriously gone missing and according to Siaya County Police Commander Mr. Cleti Kimaiyo, officers from Bondo police station were tipped by a member of the public that the suspect had been seen at a home within Sigana ‘A’ village around Ng’iya area in Alego/Usonga sub-county.

Officers rushed to the said home belonging to a retired teacher Samuel Majera who was the suspect’s friend and apprehended the suspect who then agreed to produce the missing minor.

The suspect, a teacher at Mitiro primary school in Bondo led officers to his home in Nyang’oma Division within Bondo sub-county at a compound with five unoccupied mud walled and iron roofed houses.

On arrival at the said home, the suspect moved past the fence of the compound towards a bushy area behind the houses where he had dumped the body of the minor, a-would-be-grade 7 pupil at Mileng’a primary school where the teacher suspect previously worked.

Adede had previously been arrested for defiling the deceased and was even arraigned in Bondo law courts but was released on bond.

Mr. Kimaiyo who confirmed his arrest stated that the body of the deceased was moved to Bondo sub-county mortuary pending postmortem, while the suspect was being held at Bondo police station.
