Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrested a suspected terrorist connected to the brutal murder of three security administrators in Lamu County.

Mustakima Mohammed Ali and his accomplices are said to have killed a police officer and two chiefs in December 2019 before disappearing into within Boni Forest from where they were smoked out by security personnel and disappeared to a neighboring country.

A report by the DCI states that the accomplices to the suspect had dared back into the country in April, 2023 where they were arrested along the Isiolo-Moyale highway while heading to Somalia.

They were charged as accomplices in murder at the Kahawa Law Courts and their case is ongoing.

Mustakima was on Sunday afternoon arrested while traveling to Malindi from Lamu at the Sambaki Bridge road block.

Meanwhile, other suspects are still at large with the DCI mounting an intense man haunt on their whereabouts
