Three men have been arraigned at a Kabarnet court charged with breaking into a house and stealing assorted items worth Sh 5,350.
Felix Kendagor, Peter Sumukwo and Alex Kibet who pleaded not guilty to the offences are said to have broken and entered the dwelling house of Sheila Cherogony where they stole one brown sugar valued at Sh 1, 800, a gas burner costing Sh 600, two kilogrammes of rice valued at Sh 150, cassava worth Sh 500 and cash amounting to Sh 2000.
The trio committed the offence on June 1, 2024 at Kaptere sub location of Saimo Soi location in Baringo North Sub County.
The trio, who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate (SRM) Purity Koskey faced charges of burglary Contrary to Section 304(1) (b) as read with section 304(2) of the Penal Code.
In her ruling Koskey granted the accused persons a personal bond of Sh50,000, with one surety or alternative cash bail of Sh15,000.The case is set to be mentioned on June 14, with hearing on July 3.
