Wamuchomba Tears Into Mount Kenya Foundation’s Meeting With Raila

Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni Wamuchomba has downplayed the acts by some of the Mt Kenya’s Governors purporting to back Raila Odinga in the upcoming election.

Taking to social media, the lawmaker faulted the Mount Kenya Foundation leaders for allegedly promising the region’s votes to Raila, noting that they did not speak for the whole region.

“Dear Mt Kenya Foundation. You have finally declared it’s Raila for president. Unfortunately, you are apolitical hence, you do not represent the views of the people from Mt Kenya region. So statements like “our people” are inappropriate in such commitments. Today, you promised someone our votes including mine? Noooo,” Wamuchomba stated.

The UDA affiliated politician alleged that the same group did not rise up to the occasion many times when poor Kenyans needed their support but they would dare to speak on behalf of the Mt Kenya region.

“Did you speak for the small traders in Githurai and Kahawa West when they LOST LIVES and properties to demolishers? Did you speak when our people in Laikipia were sleeping in the cold and their animals stolen by rustlers? So you only speak when brokering power?” She posed.

“You can afford to spend over 2 million shillings to plan a billionaires club forum to promise someone “our ” votes yet you could not send a truck of foods and clothes to our Laikipia Kinsmen,” Wamuchomba pondered.

She, however, took a swipe at the meeting, alleging that some leaders fell asleep during the forum.

The Kiambu legislator noted that Royal Media Services (RMS) owner S.K Macharia during a meeting in Gatanga asked politicians from Central Kenya to stop lying to Raila that the locals would support his presidential bid.

“As for me, a tinga presidency is a force down a throat of an already constipated belly! Am Not boarding!” She declared.

Mt Kenya Foundation leaders urged Kenyans to unite as a country and vote for Raila in the August 9, 2022 General Elections while assuring him of their full support.
