The Kenyatta University (KU) fraternity is in mourning, following the death of 11 students on Monday evening.
The accident that claimed the 11 lives occurred after Kenyatta University bus collided with a truck in Voi, along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. 21 students were seriously injured.
The bus was ferrying students to Mombasa for an academic trip.
According to Voi Sub-county police commandant Dasala Ibrahim, those injured were rushed to hospitals around the area.
The University shared a message of condolence to families of the departed comrades.
