Diana Marua, wife to singer Kevin Kioko popularly known as Bahati has shared details of how Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was invited to their event.
Bahati on Thursday night hosted a largely successful event for the premiere of his Bahati’s Empire series on Netflix.
The colorful event was graced by the deputy President among a host of political leaders as well as the who and who is the Kenyan entertainment industry.
However, according to a post by Diana, the DP was initially not on their list of guests to be invited.
She revealed that the invite was only sent a few hours to the event, and lucky enough the second in command spared time out of his busy schedule to attend.“My heart overflows with Gratitude We planned for this event in two days. My Husband invited the Deputy President, His Excellency @rigathi a few hours to the event and what a God we serve! His Excellency left his Village to honor our invite! We are so humbled,” Diana said in part of the video.
“This will never be taken for granted! Thank you Sir! To the protocol team that made this happen, we hold you dear to our hearts,” she added.
Other prominent leaders present at the event include Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o and nominated Senator Karen Nyamu.
In addition, Diana revealed that they had very little time to plan for the event as a notification from Netflix for the premiere of their show came on short notice.
“Netflix sent us an email on Monday evening to notify us that the show will Premiere on Friday (Today). We had less than three days to organize a launch and Invite all our esteemed guests,” Bahati’s wife, who is also a rapper and content creator said.
“This came with its own pressure & challenges but God was ahead of us To everyone who showed up, our Family, Friends, A list Celebrities, Media… we called you last minute and the turn out was overwhelming! Thank you for supporting this reality that was once a dream,” she added.
