KSh.1.2B National Police Service level 4 hospital completed

A Ksh. 1.2 Billion National Police Service level 4 hospital has been completed and launched in Mbagathi Nairobi on Friday, Giving more acess to healthcare services for security agencies and their families.

The state-of-the-art facility, with a capacity of 150 beds, was completed under the joint collaboration of the National Police Service and the Kenya Defense Forces who supervised construction.

Interior CS Prof Kithure Kindiki alongside his Defense counterpart Aden Duale presided over the event which also saw the handover of another 150 bed-capacity, Wanini Kireri Magereza Level 4 Hospital also constructed to support quality healthcare provision for security personnel.

CS Duale noted that the completion of the hospitals signified the crucial collaborative relationship between the NPS and KDF in adressing national security matters.

“This achievement highlights the crucial collaboration between the KDF and the Ministry of Interior, enhancing our capacity to provide essential healthcare and fostering unity in our commitment to serve the nation.”

Meanwhile, CS Kindiki noted that the country owed men in uniform, acess to quality healthcare services owing to their Frontline responsibilities and dedication to protect the nation.

” Access to quality health care is part of the appreciation that the Government and the Country owes our security personnel for their sacrificial and patriotic service of protecting our homeland from internal and external threats.” Kindiki noted.

The event was also attending by Patrick Mariru (Principal Secretary, Defence), The Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lt. Gen. John Omenda, Bernice Sialal (Principal Administrative Secretary, National Police Service), Douglas Kanja (Deputy Inspector General – Kenya Police Service), and Senior Security Officers.
