Police persue forest guard linked to defilement

Detectives have launched a Manhunt for a Kenya Forest officer who is alleged to have defiled a 16-year-old girl at Tinderet in Nandi County.

One Nixon Mwangi is said to have chased away a group of girls from the forest where they were picking fallen wood debris at Kipkurere forest, catching up with the unlucky Form II student from a local school.

Mwangi then dragged the helpless girl to his house where he mercilessly defiled her.

Girls who managed to escape are said to have informed the mother, who sought the help of other Kenya Forest officers in locating the house of the suspect who had feed upon their arrival leaving the victim behind.

The girl was rescued and escorted to hospital for medical report whereafter a police report was booked at Meteitei Police Station in Tinderet Sub-Count.
