President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua are seemingly becoming unpopular, if results of the latest opinion poll are anything to go by.
Results of an opinion pol by InfoTrak show that the President William Ruto and his Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, have scored grade D in their performance. Likewise, Parliament, the Judiciary and the opposition also scored a D in performance.
The survey was conducted between May 23 to 29, reaching out to 1,700 respondents.
Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Abraham Kithure Kindiki has been ranked as the best-performing public official with grade B (60), followed by his Sports counterpart Ababu Namwamba at (51).
On improving how things are done in their ministries, Kindiki scored a B of 61 percent, while CS Ababu scored a C of 52 percent. On Competency, Kindiki scored 60 percent rating, while Ababu scored 52 percent.
Johvine Wanyingo, InfoTrak lead researcher said three Cabinet Secretaries, Soipan Tuya (Forestry), Aden Duale (Defence) and Eliud Owalo (ICT) tied with 48 marks.
The worst performing CS is Agricultur’s Mithika Linturi. He managed grade 38 points, after Energy CS Davis Chirchir’s 39. Overally, the cabinet scored grade D.
Data shows that 33 percent voted him as very poor, 30 percent voted him poor, 23 percent average, 10 percent as good and four percent as excellent.
The quantitative interviews were conducted through Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI), in all the 47 Counties, for Kenyans aged above 18 years.
