The long standing feud between Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya and his Deputy Ms. Philomena Kapkory has finally been resolved.

This follows a deal struck between the two following long hours of mediation by the Senate Devolution Committee led by Siaya Senator Oburu Odinga. After a closed door meeting with the two leaders, the house Committee broke the news of a deal having been struck.

The relationship between the two had strained, forcing the deputy governor to work away from her office. This forced her to write to the senate house committee asking for mediation, raising concerns over being sidelined and even her security threatened.

” We are impressed the two leaders have agreed to work together to enhance service delivery for the good of the people of Trans Nzoia,” said Odinga adding that a harmonious working relationship is key for essential service delivery.

Governor Natembeya welcome the mediation by the house committee saying that it was long overdue as he assured his deputy support to discharge her duties.

On her part, Kapkory promised to work together with the Governor for the good of the people thanking the house committee for the noble effort.

Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Gideon Oyagi present assured government officers enough security for them to discharge their duties.

Accompanying Senator Oburu were senators Wafula Wakoli (Bungoma), George Mbugua (Nominated), Allan Chesang (Trans Nzoia), Richard Onyonka (Kisii) and Mohamed Chute (Marsabit).
