Get a life! David Ndii tells Uhuru

President William Ruto’s economic advisor David Ndii has hit back at retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kenyatta on Saturday fired a subtle salvo at individuals within the government that he described as traitors.

While the former President did not mention any names in his address during a church service in Nairobi, political analysts claim it was targeted at the current Kenya Kwanza regime.

Responding to the statement, Ndii said it was time Uhuru accepted that the 2022 general election results did not go his way.

He also noted that the statement might have something to do with his former ally Raila Odinga’s latest dalliance with the government.

President William Ruto has been campaigning for Raila’s bid to be the next African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson.

“This jamaa needs to move on. Akubali Bomas kulienda vile kulienda. Pia kuachws Kwa mataa na RAO ni par for the course. Hata sisi RAO alituacha kwa mataa and we moved on,” Ndii said.

He was one of Raila’s key allies before the 2022 general election.”In short, Mr Uhuru Kenyatta, get a life,” he added.

Uhuru supported the former Prime Minister in his presidential bid in 2022.

But after Ruto’s win, he never publicly congratulated him, a move that deepened their hostilities.

Whenever he addresses public events, the former President is always seen as aiming jibes at his predecessor.

In the Saturday event where he attended the Episcopal ordination of bishops elect Simon Peter and Wallace Ng’ang’a at St Mary’s Msongari in Westlands, Uhuru said, “Betrayal is on the other side, not the church. But we tell the traitors that even Judas betrayed Jesus but later left the silver pieces and sent to hang himself.
