Nyanza Will Produce the President in 2022 – MP Godfrey Osotsi

Nominated Member of Parliament Godfrey Osotsi has predicted that Nyanza will produce Kenya’s next president following the August 9, 2022 general elections.

While addressing members of the public in Migori, the lawmaker warned Kenyans against falling victim to political conmen ahead of next year’s general polls.

“I would like to urge you to be very wary of political conmen. You must be very steady. From where I am, I can see Nyanza producing the President in 2022,” Osotsi stated.

The Nominated MP reflected on the longstanding relationship between ODM Leader Raila Odinga and ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, highlighting the number of times the two leaders have worked together.

Osotsi further noted that there are some individuals within the ANC party that are working to derail the presidential ambitions of Mudavadi, by ruining his relationship with Odinga.

Last week, the lawmaker alleged that some leaders within ANC are working with Deputy President William Ruto. He adviced Mudavadi to pay close attention to legislators close to him, and purporting to support his presidential bid.

“I would like to tell Mudavadi, to take time and investigate the people around him, those that purport to support him. These people walk around with him, they sit with him in board rooms but at night they are with DP Ruto,” he said.

Osotsi called out Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and Lurambi MP Titus Khamala as fake supporters of Mudavadi’s presidential bid. He alleged that they speak negatively about DP Ruto in public, but behind the scenes, make phone calls to the DP to clear their name.

“There are people her who their job is to run anti-Raila strategies in Western. They wake up every day just to talk ill of Raila in Luhya land,” he stated.

Osotsi claimed that the goal of these leaders in supporting Mudavadi’s presidential bid, is not to have him win votes to become head of state, but split Odinga’s influence in Western Kenya.
